Easy gas transaction at the pump. Redeemed survey mini coupon, attendant did not know how to use coupon. Took a little long while she figured it out.

The price of fuel was 1.989. Should have gotten a discount for using my WalMart GE MC. I paid 1.989.

I purchased four drinks, four bags of a variety of candy, and fifteen gallons of gas. We purchased an A& W root beer, a Sunkissed drink, and a 7-up for $4 and received a promotional code to save 10 cents a gallon on the gas purchase. The candy bags were buy one, get one free. It was also customer appreciation day. The checkout process took longer than expected. The employees were nice and answered questions in a friendly manner.

This is the second time that my Walmart Credit Card would not "read" at this Murphy location. I had to go inside after the pump would not read and it would not read inside either. I used a different card with no problem. The first time it would not read my Walmart card I just drove away as I was not that low on fuel and did not have time to wait.

This Murphy management seems to try to squeeze the highest price possible from customers. I have seen the price jump from a competitive local price at 0630 am, and go 15 cents higher by 3pm. Chevron gas can be bought within 1 cent of the Murphy price, just about any day of any week. This isn't what I'm accustomed to from using Murphy in Arkansas or Alabama. From 9/2014 through 12/2014 pricing was the best in Forest (as expected). After Jan 2015, I have rarely bought here due to the big price swings, and the fact you're not competitive. Even the Shell across the street frequently has better pricing. Who wouldn't buy Shell or Chevron with their detergent additives - paying less or equal money - instead of Murphy (with unknown gas origin) ? Who is supervising the pricing at this store??

According to the banners on the cigarette display ALL Marlboro purchases were to be $.20 off every two pack purchased. According to the attendant, because I purchased a carton of Marlboro's, I was not eligible, and, in addition, the purchase of Special Blend is exempt. This is NOT what the signage states. I will more than likely continue to purchase cigarettes from this Murphy, but ONLY because I have not found a discount tobacco store in this (new to me) town as of yet. Also, the lines in this store are consistently longer than they should be (4+ during peak times), and the store temperature is uncomfortably hot 99% of the time.
