The display screen on the pump was extremely hard to read. I believe you need to have blacker characters on a lighter screen (contrast) or similar. When the clerk came out to do everything a second time for me (it worked for her), she told me that my pauses between screens probably caused the pump to stop accepting my info. BUT eventually, I realized that the problem was that the pump never told me to choose a fuel grade. It told me to remove the hose from the machine, but did not give additional directions, even though I put the nozzle in my tank and set the handle so it would pump. John
