A malfunction at the pump prevented me using it. When I explained the issue to the attendant, she understood the problem, apologized and corrected the problem quickly and courteously. Although she perhaps only did her job, she did it with a smile and with some pleasant words. She made the visit to the gas station a pleasure rather than a problem and I believe that she should be offered an immediate pay increase for making customers want to return to the gas station.
