Pay with card at pump was not working and lots of times does not work

The card reader does not seem to work at the pump. I slide my card but it cancels the transaction. I've tried different pumps and I've chosen different forms of payment, such as credit and debit. I am then forced to pay at the register and it works perfectly fine there. This issue takes away the convenience of paying at the pump. Please fix this.

bought 2 cartons of cigarettes, was given the right brand (Salem) but wrong kind (variety) and size. Items were put in a bag with my receipt and I did not check them until arriving home and was unable to take back to exchange(If you do that?) because I don't drive and driver had already left.
