The pump wasn't working and it took out card with zero follow theough for gas

On way to buy groc5for my 5 kids, I have 100 dollars on my card...I stop to put in 20 dollars in gas. I go buy groceries and my card is declined...WHY???? Because Murphy put a 100 dollars hold on my card!!!! Now my kids are eating bread and butter noodles... I am NOT a food stamps mom...I worked hard for that money ..100 dollars hold is ridiculous!!!!
