Unfriendly Customer

I used to visit the Murphy USA located in Belvidere IL near Walmart every Wednesday on my way to college classes but now I only visit infrequently. On this particular visit, I a was not greeted by the usual cash register attendant but rather serviced by a gentleman named Kevin who displayed very poor customer service. I was not greeted, thank for my purchase, not recommended any other products and I had to ask him for my receipt of purchase. When I did he then portrayed a negative attitude by my simple request. Overall, I was satisfied with this gas station because it has larger vehicle access, a plethora of self-service gas pumps, but this cashier needs additional customer service training. If this continues I will simply take my business else where nearest the highway exit to a Road Ranger or Mobil service station.

The pump wouldn't allow me to pay at the pump with my card, so I had to go inside and prepay. I prepaid $40, but my tank was filled completely up at $33.57. I went inside to get my change, the attendant said it was supposed to electronically be put back on to my card. I showed him that it had not been put back on to my card with my mobile banking app. He said it generally takes 5-10 minutes for the money to go back on to the card. I waited for 15 minutes, the money was never put back on the card. He told me to come back the next morning at 5 AM to speak to a manager. I work the night shift and I live in the next town over. I get home from work at 2 AM. Getting up at 5 to drive to Belvidere for six bucks is a really stupid demand when he could've just given me my change back in cash after it became obvious that it would not be automatically placed back on to my debit card. Also, he had clearly been smoking inside of the building. Both he and it had the aroma of a wet ashtray.

The pump would not work and the attendant told me that I must have done it wrong. I did not and everyone else was having the same problem. I had to wait in line for at least 5 people 4 different times in order to get my fuel pumped.

I used the walmart credit card and did not receive 2% off as indicated. The place was jam pack which made it inconvenient to request a refund.

I was at the pump pumping my gas and the switch on the gas pump would not release and shut off, mind you it was a very cold night so I probably loss more than a gallon of gas to the ground. Told clerk inside and she acted like it was no big deal, nor did she put a sign on machine either. Other people came in with similar problems and she would tell them to go to another pump if they prepaid with cash otherwise if other customers used their cards at pump, I guess it was our loss!!!
