I am a regular customer to this store, some days going in multiple times each day! I literally pass 7 other gas stations and/or stores in my way to Murphy's! I make that choice because I get fair prices, the items I generally buy are rarely out of stock. The biggest factor, however, are the ladies who have worked there for what seems like forever! With only one exception, I always get great service! I must say it's always struck me as odd that the the employees are wonderful but I can't say the same for the manager. 9 times out of 10 if she's working the register, she's going to be on the cell phone headset thing around her neck. If she is using it, other than stating the total price, she won't say anything other than to whomever is on the phone. It speaks volumes that the only time I'm caught off guard is in response to her actually being friendly/nice. I always tell the women 'thanks have a... good one", it's rare to get a response even to that. She may very well be an amazing manager, but 'customer service' isn't her strength.
