Hand and Stone

I was asked to sign some thing when I arrived if I wanted my aesthetician to wear a mask. I selected yes. She did not wear a mask.

My esthetician was rather negative in the way she spoke. I felt as if she kept going on and on about how I need to change my skin care and how my skin was so dry. I came in simply to relax and I felt picked on even though I know she was trying to help. Her delivery of information could have been more gentle. She also upgraded my facial without explaining it clearly so I was unaware I was upgrading for $20.

Booking appointments is a challenge. The person is friendly but not always knowledgeable- I don’t always feel confident that what I’ve asked for will be delivered

I have had many facials in the past. The chest and neck were always included.

The massage did not start on time. The masseuse acknowledged that she was stuck in traffic but did not make up the lost time or reimburse me for lost time. On the tablet, I specified that I would like my masseuse to wear a mask but I’m guessing she didn’t look at it due to being late and did not wear a mask.

Reception wasn’t engaging. Very few midrange Products for sale. Didn’t explain the club other than a brochure.

I was given a spa finder gift card, so that is why I came there. I was told massages were $69.95 for first visit, so I splurged on a 90 minute. When I checked out I was told it was $149.95 because I was using a spa finder gift card. My card had $50 on it so I had to pay $99 out of pocket which I wasn’t expecting. When I told the girl that I felt deceived and she said spa finder gift cards get charged full price. I told her they should tell you that when you book. She said I don’t know why we do that. I really liked the facility, the staff and my massage, but feel that I paid too much!

It did not make me relax, other than back did not really massage only rub lotion on me. Hot towel foot massage no massaging.

I felt like I was being upsold the whole time. by the esthetician suggesting more expensive facial options, to the receptionist at check out pushing the membership noting the enrollment fee being waived for "today only." Just put a bad taste in my mouth. Everyone was very nice though.

The message room smelled of being musty, could have been wet items left from previous usage
