We love Cafe Rio in our home. But every time we visit this location (for about the last year and a half give or take) we are so disappointed. We have found ourselves driving past this location to another, an additional 15-20 mins added to our trip, just to ensure the quality/consistency of the food we order. However, every once in a while we really want Cafe Rio but don't have time to drive far, so we cave and give this location another chance. Big let down every time! Today was the biggest yet! There were two of us dining, and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant so you would think everything would be perfect. Nope. I ordered the classic pork salad and my dining companion ordered a pork burrito enchilada style. They gave me beef instead of pork. I didn't notice right away because it is under the salad. When I asked for the replacement the employees were very nice. The woman who had prepared it originally also made the burrito, and did not seem to be paying attention to us. My companion ordered one salsa and she put a different sauce on. When they corrected her, instead of fixing it she just put the second salsa on. Not exactly what was desired. The burrito was barely wrapped. The restaurant had trash scattered around, strange for such a slow time of day. Quality control!! Also, please open a Cafe Rio in downtown historic Mesa or Mesa Riverview shopping center or at the Mesa Fiesta District so that we don't have to waste money at this other location anymore.

They sent me a coupon in the a.m. To my email and did not honor it that night! Felt schwindled and super frustrating. What company sends out expired emails!
