While the overall service provided was high, and the restaurant is managed in a professional manner, I have often noticed that the food quality across La Madeleine restaurants that I visit has declined in recent years. The croissants are often overcooked and dry, or the dough has been overworked and they are tough. When ordering breakfast, I can tell that my scrambled eggs have been made from a powdered mix instead of real eggs. The quiche pie crust has no lamination and often lacks flavor. I have been eating at La Madeleine quite literally my entire life, as I grew up a stone's throw from the original location, and I well remember what the food was like back then compared to now. I want to be clear that my complaint is not with this particular location, but rather seems to be the general trend at all of the locations that I have eaten at in the past several years.

The smell when I walked into the restaurant was obtrusive and off putting. It was very unpleasant and gave the impression that the restaurant wasn’t clean. I was a bit disgusted by the smell.

I was highly satisfied, I just won’t come back because I don’t live here and I was just meeting a friend. I also work at a summer camp so I don’t have time! My experience was great though!

The cafe could use a deep cleaning. Lighting in the cafe could be better. This location could use a facelift.

No reason to be overly satisfied.

It was a little confusing to walk in and not know where to order - there were several different lines to choose from.

Food is always consistent. Fast service. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Store a bit dirty. Food has gotten very expensive for the casual service. Clerk was chewing food.
