Seriously - a "Commodity Surcharge?" Everyone is suffering with inflation and the increased cost of living. This surcharge is ridiculous. I thought if I ate in-cafe the charge wouldn't be added (thinking it was for carryout containers, which I also disagree with making customers pay for containers) but, no, there it is on my receipt. Please be more considerate of your customers and remove this surcharge. We are ALL hit by inflation. I am definitely considering eating elsewhere from now on.

The food wasn't as good as it was the last time. The soupe was cold and the pasta wasn't thick.

Usually the pastry freshness is perfect. This time the pastry (chocolate almond croissant) seemed to have been prepared first thing in the morning and served late in the afternoon.

My onion soup was not hot enough to melt the cheese. But the silverware was much cleaner than usual. Bring back the self serve bread and butter.

I ordered a spinach salad with wild field greens instead of spinach. I received a spinach salad. Also, I spoke to a manager (Brooke) about problems I have had inserting receipts that were not scanned in the La Madeleine app. After inserting the receipt multiple times, an e-mail is eventually sent saying "Your request to add a visit credit from Receipt # (120043 - for example) has been processed successfully!" However, when I go into my transaction history (days later), no indication of the credit is displayed. I have entered at least 4 receipts that were not scanned with no indication of visit credits.
