la Madeleine

I was celebrating my birthday at a different restaurant and we drove to La Madeleine for dessert. I have always loved the coconut cake, so I wanted to have coffee and dessert at the store. Sadly there was to coconut cake available, so we decided to buy something else. We chose two pieces of lemon tart and two of creme brûlée for later. We decided not to stay and we wanted to enjoy dessert at home. It was very disappointing to us to taste that lemon tart, it tasted old, specially the creme on top. We had a little of upset stomach. The creme brûlée was very good, we ate it the day after. I hope this was a one time thing because I like to stop for dessert at this restaurant.

Everything was good

I did have to wait a little more than I liked to order. The waitress wasn’t unfriendly, but she wasn’t very friendly, either. I didn’t love my macaroon, but the cake was delicious!

No greeting upon entering Staff could have been more engaging and personable Potato galette was over cooked on one side and barely warm This used to be such high quality food , freshly prepared and now it’s from Sysco, Ben E Keith or some other distributor

The price is not clear, not friendly for first-timers.

Food was good but not great

I was not highly satisfied because I was a little confused with the menu. Besides that it was great. I would definitely come again.

Meat on roast beef sandwich was bad

Not enough employees. Took forever to get through the line, because not enough people working. Tables were left not cleaned off everywhere. Not enough people??

It took about 15 minutes to get my food delivered to my table. It was not a busy time, and I expected it to be delivered quicker. Also, it would have been nice for the staff to just check in with us as they walked by to make sure that all of our needs were taken care of.
