Staff doing other things when customer arrives. I was always instructed that you take care of customer first then finish what ever you were doing.

Much improved over last few vsisits

Not as many menu items as in past.

I know we are in difficult times but short staffed. A little unorganized and frustrated.

Attitude of service personnel.

We ordered a large Caesar salad ($7.99) along with our meal. The salad size was half (no exaggeration) the size it use to be. Every time we had ordered the salad in the past it covered the large plate to point of almost falling off. This time the amount of salad didn't even cover the entire surface of the plate. I know inflation is hitting costs hard but raise the price instead of lowering the quantity. The Caesar salad is one the best choices at laMadeleine. For $7.99 the plate should be filled as it has always been in the past. It's lettuce, dressing, and croutons not some priceless, scarce commodity. I don't mind the $7.99 if I get an amount of lettuce that fairly reflects the amount received for the product. Now in defense of the store personnel, this may have been a one off situation; maybe just a mistake. For that reason we will visit again because we like laMadeleine's atmosphere and food.

Some of the staff were new which made ordering a little difficult. Ordered a grilled cheese which came out with no color or crunch on the outside of the bread. I could have made a better one at home for cheaper.

Felt like an ice box, although I understand that can't keep everyone happy. Turn over must be high because many tables where dirty. Over all really friendly staff and very patient.
