la Madeleine

I needed a take-out container to carry out toast bites and jam. Some tables in my seating section had not been cleared. The overhead lighting seemed a bit dim.

The staff was very nice. I love the lemon tarts. Service is always great!

I have been ordering the breakfast sandwich for over 5 years at various La Madeleines. I don't eat meat so I ask to substitute swiss cheese for the meat. I love cheese, so I get both cheddar and swiss on my croissant. In the past month the size of the croissants has become very smal and there's not as much cheese. For $10 the experience is not worthwhile. I have been going to La Madeleines in Houston for decades, starting with the one in Highland Village in Houston. I still go to 4 others in Houston. The food has always been excellent, and I love the ambiance. I'm so disappointed with my favorite item, that I will probably cut back a lot on my visits. One friend and I went there every Monday for years. I have 3 other friends that we would meet there as our perfect go to restaurant.

My order was not accurate. My eggs ere to be over easy. I received scrambled. The meat was to be bacon. I received sausage.

It was perfectly fine. Everything was fast and went smoothly, just not the best service ever. This is a good establishment.

All in all I am satisfied with my la Madeleine experience. And I liked their food a lot! Sometimes the café is too cold in winter time!

The sandwiches are half the size they used to be. They look very sloppy and not appealing at all. The taste is still there, that’s the only reason I would order it again. The bowls of pasta are filled to maybe 75%. I order the cup with my sandwich combo and a bowl in order to get a filling serving, again taste is still there. I know it’s hard times for everyone but I feel like loyal customers like me should get something better than what we’re getting.
