Salad did not taste quite as good as other Madeline restaurants. Bought a dark cherry dessert but there weren’t and cherries in it.

Since this was my first visit, I was somewhat confused as to how the food was to be ordered and delivered. I was expecting table service. It was not really a problem as to the process, just not very obvious at first.

Truly my issue is with the cooks in the kitchen. What happens in the kitchen makes a big difference. The food was oily, too much butter or oil. Way too much cheese, more of that than the other fillers in the omelet (a recipe for high cholesterol). Food came luke warm. I was not happy. My previous visit (months ago) the cooks did very well. I couldn't wait to return. The way my omelet was cooked stayed on my mind. Now I'm not interested to return any time soon because I felt sick and nauseous after I left. Everything else and the staff was very, very good. They were kind and wiling to accommodate.

The french dip sandwich did not complement the horseradish mayo. It was my first time trying it and I am not really a fan of it. However, everything else was delicious!

Our food was brought outside. It had been at our table about 3 minutes, we sat outside so we had to move it once it was dropped for the server who dropped it off to come with a wipe to clean to tables outside because of the pollen. The issue comes in when I was brought the correct food and the plate given was taken. Upon realizing I needed additional condiments I went back inside and noticed that the server took the food that was already dropped at our table to the correct table. It had been 5 minutes at that point and my boyfriend and I had already touched the plate because we cleared the table for her to wipe it off. That was such an off putting experience to witness because I would have been mortified if I knew my food was already touched and breathed on by a couple and taken outside with the pollen when I say and ordered inside. We enjoyed our food but now as I'm writing I'm wondering if my plate made it to another table first and that is the one thing that would not have me come back.

Bacon was room temperature and rubbery - not crispy. Potato gallette was very greasy, slightly undercooked - and also not warm or hot

The ordering experience was not completely smooth, but I think the person at the register was new. Typically it is much smoother, but we did get our order and it was accurate so no complaints.
