la Madeleine

The water glasses had lipstick on them. It was on 3-4 glasses. This was not appealing.

While waiting in line to order my food, I saw the cook/chef rub his nose with gloves on. He then proceeded to continue working with food, with out washing his hands nor at least changing his gloves.

When we asked the cashier for lemons for our iced tea, she pulled out a metal bin, and had us reach in with our fingers to get the lemons. Highly unsanitary. I was too stunned to say anything. No tongs, just a customers bare hands reaching into a bin that would also serve other customers.

We ordered 2 sampler plates of salads. It took more than 20 minutes to receive our order (after I went to the counter to check our order status almost 20 minutes of waiting). Nobody seemed to know what had happened to our order. Also, when the food was brought to our table, the food was not what my husband had ordered ( Cesar salad was brought instead of strawberry roumonaude as ordered). We were extremely disappointed with our experience this time at the la madeleine restaurant. The manager needs to do a better job training employees on taking food orders and delivering to the customers in a timely manner. We want to know how you are going to make this right to our satisfaction! Your response is greatly appreciated!

sandwich order was good

I wanted to purchase a gift card and I was behind two people at the take out counter. It took 15 minutes. Seems like it should have been quicker.

I ordered a bowl of strawberry romanoff. I had only six strawberries in the bowl. I felt I wasted my money.

Sandwich I ordered didn’t look like it usually does, seemed like ingredient quality & presentation has gone down a bit. Sweet tea was sour obviously not fresh. Bread was not very fresh either. Also frustrated with how many favorite items have been taken off the menu. You no longer have pasta la madeleine, salmon w/dill sauce, shrimp crepe florentine. I eat here less often than I used to because of this.

Order line long, staff neutral - neither friendly nor rude, restaurant cozy but not fresh (older location?). Staff busy enough s.t. difficult to ask for an extra plate, or spoons b/c they were out.

Took too long to receive my order. Disappointed that you no longer offer bread free.
