Big O Tires

I order tires online along with my appointment. Then the next morning they called me to tell me that those tires weren’t available, and sold me more expensive tires and I asked to be accommodated for the misinformation online and the only thing he could do was give me a AAA discount which I was already going to get.

while i had been there many times before, it was now under new owners and personnel, so highly satisfied is highly unlikely. but next time it could happen.

Staff is always willing to help. Been going to this location for 15 years.

Your system UPSALES by default with stuff like NITRO AIR at $8 bucks a tire. If Im buying a tire from you "Ask Me" if I want free air or pay for good air? Right? Then you charge some more for dismounting/mounting/and balance-Im buying a Tire from you.When I buy a soda from the store they dont charge me for refrigeration/unpacking/shelving it-GET MY POINT? I understand profit driven business but to a point. STOP gauging to make up for losses during COVID. We all lost. Hope my comments dont see the Delete button befor someone reads it. Thanks

1) Selected my tires through website. At no point did it say the price didn't include installation, so when I talked to an associate and he quoted me a much higher price, I almost bailed (READ: YOU ALMOST LOST A CUSTOMER!) 2) The price was slightly higher than quoted a few days before at another Big O for the same product - don't understand that. 3) I had to say 3 times that I didn't want the extra warranty coverage.

It took a really long time and I told them I need to leave for an important meeting and they said they’d have me out before then and then I had to keep asking for updates at the end even though my car was already down.

Overall I had a good experience at this Big O Tires location in San Leandro, CA. Good customer service and the facility is clean. Employees are professional and courteous. The only negative is the inventory of the tires. They didn’t have the tires I ordered and the store claimed that they can get them for me from other warehouse location but the price would be increased by about 10% from the quoted price. The store offered other tires for the quoted price I received, but it felt like a baited and switch practice.

Took way too long

Took longer than time stated. Air conditioning was not working on a very hot day.

After I received the call that the vehicle was ready, I went in to retrieve my vehicle but there was no mention on the work order about the whirling sound I had experienced upon startup. The tech had forgotten to put that on the list of things to check and it did not get checked, fixed, or anything. I can always return to the shop to have it check again, but I was not satisfied that the thing I was most hoping to get taken care of, would have.
