Jason informed me that I needed a brake job for the two rear wheels on my 2007 GMC Yukon XL. He quoted me a price of $896 IF the rotors needed to be replaced. That price is several hundred dollars higher than the price quoted to me by two different auto repair shops for brake jobs with new rotors. I like Big O Lafayette and Jason is a good guy, but I am now inclined to get competitive price quotes for pretty much anything Big O quotes me on, particularly if it is a substantial item.

The employee stripped two lug nuts when rotating my tires. This happened to me at this same store once before, a few years ago. This time they admitted the issue immediately, apologized and said they could replace the stripped bolts the next morning. He said that the technician was rushing, may not have greased the lug nut before putting it on, and that the Subaru threads were smaller - which, if they are not careful, can get stripped more easily than some other brands. They handled it well, but it is frustrating to have this happen twice.

I had to use my hazard lights to drive home when a sudden noise underneath the engine came on while on freeway. My neighbor checked my tires when he heard the noise & saw that the engine shield was not "tight." I called Big O bc they installed the shield & fasteners. The Big O service man wouldn't give me an appointment for the next day. He said, "first come, first served." He was rude. The next day I called Ryan to make apointnent to check the shield. I drove w/hazard lights on and was late. After a few minutes, Ryan wanted $25. I told him this was unacceptable. I always thought Big O guaranteed their work.

I switched over to this Big O location from another vendor as I was led to believe that they could help with tire issues (excess wear, etc.) We have had to buy numerous timers in a very short amount of time. Not really saying it is Big O's fault, but we were led to believe that they could help us if we had issues with tires. Every time we are told not covered, driver error, etc. Just a bit frustrating because it is the same as the last place. Really no advantage. Service is usually pretty good but always more money.

I called for an appointment, went in, drank a cup of coffee, and my car was ready. Easy, easy!

We've purchased many tires from this location. For a second time my wife has tried to get help and been treated very poorly. This time she wanted help with a tire that had a leak. She called me after interacting with the staff and felt she was treated rudely. You'd think there would be some appreciation for being a good customer. We're taking our business elsewhere!
