Long lines for HHN should have had drink stations set up earlier as they were just rolling out at 7:00 when the park opened at 6:00.

The food inside the theme park did not look good so we went to margaritaville and the food was great. Our waiter was awesome!!!

We went to the Islands of Adventure side to check out the Harry Potter addition. The Butter beer was fantastic! The wand shop was really neat, but could have been expedited by having a display of the available wands and the characters associated with them. There was a fun element to searching thru the boxes, but with the amount of people in there it was also slightly claustrophobic. The rides in Harry Potter were nicely done and my expectations were exceeded by execution of the talking paintings. I really enjoyed that some aspects of this area were more focused on the immersion of the world rather than just the rides. Having the wands appear to interact with the store front windows was quite fun. The Cat in The Hat section was a trip down memory lane (like always) and a fun way to revisit some Dr. Seuss favorites, however the area is looking pretty run down and could use a paint refresher. It's more obvious when you view the area from across the lake. Other areas of the park are vibrant and shiny whereas this area appears more faded and dull. (Purely from an esthetic opinion) the area is still a lot of fun. The lost continent was a neat area, we explored the Sinbad show and the dinosaur learning area. The Dino lab is huge, but feels nearly empty. As an adult it was clear that the was not geared towards us, but we like exploring anyways. We ate lunch at Mythos and were not disappointed. The food was really tasty and the atmosphere was fun without being cheesy. We would definitely recommend Mythos over the quick service based on quality. We briefly visited Marvel land and did a few rides. It was a neat area. I saw the advertisements for Minions on the way in and had hoped that I might find something related to them (other than shopping) in the park. This might be something that's plan for later and would likely bring me back.
