The location in Lewisville near Round Grove and 35 provided the worst experience I have EVER had at a gas station. My wife and I went in to buy a pack of cigarettes and a refill for my e cig. I presented my ID (I am 27) and my wife, who left her purse in the car, explained she did not have her's with her. The older white gentleman with an accent (must have been from Australia, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom) was extremely rude. I explained to him that the law does not require my wife, when I am of the legal age to purchase tobacco products (despite both of us clearly appearing to be over the age of 18), to present her ID so long as I present my own, nor is this 7 Eleven's policy, as this has NEVER happened to us in the past and we always go into the store together and always go to 7 Eleven. He continued to be rude. I explained that if I am 27 and my wife is under the age of 18 (my wife is 25), we clearly have much bigger problems. Despite his incredibly rude attitude, he still sold us the cigarettes and said, rudely, "make sure you BOTH bring your ID's next time!" My wife then proceeded to return to the car and come back with her ID to show it to him. He repeated the same statement saying we should both bring our ID's next time. I am astonished by this behavior from someone who is supposed to be in a customer service position. I am especially astonished that, after we both presented our ID's and proved our age, he became more rude instead of offering an apology for his behavior. I believe 7 Eleven does not condone this type of behavior in employees, so I will continue to shop there when it is convenient, where I spend an average of $300/week. However, I will never visit this location again, which happens to be the closest location to my home. As a result, I will be taking my regular business elsewhere, which accounts for almost all of the $300 I spend at 7 Eleven per week.
