I've visited this Sunoco for years. It was recently taken over by new owners, and it's unfortunately gone downhill since. I came to purchase has and have my tire pressure checked. It's a full service station. The attendant came quickly when I pulled up to the pump, and I requested $20 of regular gas very clearly. When I later checked my receipt (I was in a hurry), I was charged $39!!! That's $19 more than I asked for!! He had walked away to help another car, and apparently didn't come back to shut my pump in time. That's not acceptable because my debit account happens to be low and he could have caused me to incur fees if he had filled a few dollars more. Then when I asked him to check my tired pressure, he didn't want to be bothered. He pointed to the broken air machine as if to say that it made no sense for him to check my tires evaluate I wouldn't be able to pay for the air. I ended up going inside the office, and one of the mechanics not only checked all four tires but even filled them with air from the air machine in the repair bays. He didn't even ask for money. The old owners used to give free air when paying for gas, and I'm not sure of the current policy -- either way, the attendant didn't want to be bothered to do his job of checking my pressure while the mechanic stopped his own work to help me above and beyond. Two very different employees. I appreciate that the mechanic went out of his way to help me. However, the gas attendant clearly is lazy and makes costly mistakes.
