I extended my car rental because of a last minute decision to take a road trip fir July 4th weekend.

I made an online reservation and when I was on my way to get the car I received a phone call that they didn't have a car at the pick up location. I had to go to the location that I reserved the car at and pay for it then drive to another location to pick the car up. It was a huge inconvenience and they staff was unfriendly and unapologetic about the whole situation. I ask for some sort of compensation and the employee said there was nothing she could do and gave me the number to corporate. I'm definitely unhappy with the whole situation.

Horrible customer service!!! Placed a reservation online. Website and confirmation email both stated that credit card debit card and check card were all accepted at hertz. I showed up to pick up my rental hours before leaving for a 2 week vacation only to be told that I couldn't use my debit card (as of September 1st in some states). The customer service representative told me to call corporate (instead of providing customer service and doing it herself) while she sat at her desk texting. I spent almost an hour on the phone and in the store being transferred from one person to another and hung up on once. Finally the last person I talked with who was very rude said there was nothing any one could do for me. No one would transfer me to a supervisor either. They lost over $500 dollars at least from me and my business all together. I will make sure that none of my friends and family use this company. Terrible terrible
