My father and I were in town to see family. I called to let them know we would be arriving late in the evening and that my father needed a handicap accessible room. The woman I spoke to sounded like I woke her up and was not helpful or could not promise anything. We checked in and the clerk was polite. We opened the door to our room to find all the light and TV on, the beds unmade and the room humid - bathroom door open and shower running. I quickly shut the door and returned to the front desk. The clerk gave us a new room but it was not handicap accessible. We made due. The room was not particularly clean. Carpet was dirty. Bathroom poorly cleaned and toilet paper roll was empty. There were dirty towels in the closet area. We were too tired to deal with it. The beds appeared clean. The room was quiet and we slept well. In the morning I went to get my dad some breakfast and saw a gentleman employee - not the desk clerk- handling the food without gloves, scratching his head and wiping his nose and touching more food items. I got a cup of coffee and we ate elsewhere. I would not rate this a two star hotel. 1 star.
