Hand and Stone

Profits were left for me at Checkout. There were no prices on products. No explanation of why they were selected, how to use the etc. So none were purchased.

In general I very much enjoy my massages at Hand and Stone as well as the atmosphere and staff. However, the lobby/reception area was very chilly this time, ac cranked up. I also was not satisfied with my massage this time. I didn't feel relaxed. Maureen seems very rough handed, sometimes physically moving my position without first letting me know what she wanted from me. Everything seemed very abrupt and she was a little too talkative for me. Even when I again told her an area I needed worked on, she didn't focus on it to my satisfaction. I often need massage to help relieve very tight/ tense muscles. Overall, I left not feeling any better than when I went in. Very sad. I will certainly return to Hand and Stone, but I will be sure to request a different therapist.

Waiting area is active and does not allow to "leave the hustle" behind as you wait for your appointment. I was not invited to have the tea/water. No one explained why I did not start on time.

Previous appointments with Therapist Jenna were canceled last minute this happened a few times . I had made the time for the appointment and she either was sick didn’t come to work or last minute notice .

I am very satisfied with my Hand and Stone experience

I rate a massage accordingy to how long it takes to get in the zone.

Would be nice if we got to keep the balance left, if the service doesn't require you to use it all. That's kind of stealing...

I called for an appointment on a Tuesday. The receptionist took my number and said she would call back in 5 minutes. She never called. On Wednesday I called again. Same receptionist took my number and said she would call back in 5 minutes. I explained that she told me that yesterday and never called. She promised to call in 5 min. 30 minutes later I got the call. Booked the appointment for Friday at 9. I went to the place at 9 a.m. and was told my appointment was for 9 pm. I was upset because when booking I told her I was available all morning. I assumed the appt was for a.m. not p.m. Anyway, a different receptionist was able to get me in that morning at 10:30. Still annoying though.

Used gift cards at checkout and there was no explanation what the gift cards were worth in relationship to the service. Took 2 unused gift cards without any explanation.

I enjoyed my time at Hand and stone. Very polite and professional. I already recommended to a friend.
