Hand and Stone

Massage therapist was not usual hand and stone quality Weird pressure not very relaxing

High turnover rate; some masseuses are not very skilled and it's a crapshoot when choosing someone. The ones that are skilled are booked a month or more and I can't get an appt. Then, the next thing I know, those good masseuses are no longer with Hand & Stone. I'm just trying to whittle down my points and packages, and I'll likely be a regular with one of my regular, former masseuses that left for private practice.

I feel that “highly satisfied” is reserved for when I am wowed by a massage or service. The spa was clean, the massage was good. But going from “good” to “great” is the line between my being satisfied or highly satisfied. Aromatherapy would be nice as an inclusion with an already-enhanced massage (hot stone). Additionally, a few of the stones in my massage were rough in texture and scratched me.

Was told therapist was running late but my appointment would not be cut short. Called in massage room at 11:13am (for an 11am appointment). Massage ended at 11:50am. After changing, received ~35 minutes of a 50 minute massage.

I was mostly uncomfortable with how many ppl were in the waiting area at the same time. At one point there were about 10 ppl in the small lobby area. During covid, this made me very uncomfortable.

Very hard to purchase gift card and still in system with wrong value etc. wrong gift card given and had to be reissued. Not many times available for after working hours.

I was taken in slightly past my appointment time and after getting undressed and ready, the facial started late. It was relaxing and I enjoyed the facial but looking at the time left as I was putting my clothes back in, I still had 15 minutes left. I not only started late but ended early which left me somewhat disappointed.

We had a couples massage and wish the the massage therapist for myself had listened to what my issues were as well as give me feedback.

In the room could hear people in nearby rooms talking. My massage therapist was really lovely - not her fault.

The receptionist knew it was my first time. After checking me in, she just asked me to wait -- I wasn't sure what would happen next. I would have liked a bit more of an introduction -- where's the water, the restroom, what happens next, etc. It wasn't that busy, but the receptionists were focused on their screens.
