Monthly prepaid had not been taken out for January yet, front desk charged me as a member $95 less 15 for tip, doesn’t seem right and will be talking with them in person this weekend

The massage was great and definitely relaxed me. But I was under the impression that the CBD addition was 3 dollars, not 30 dollars. I also felt very pressured to tip more than I was comfortable tipping.

My therapist is great. She is friendly, knowledgable and helps me relax. Receptionist is very friendly and uses your name!

This was one experience out of many from years with Hand and Stone, so I know it was not the norm. I also know I will not return to this masseuse. The focus area and the pressure were ignored even after requests. It was not an enjoyable service and I did not experience any of the many valued benefits I usually do from massages here. Additionally, in the beginning after multiple pushes for add ons that I was not interested in that day (I often do add ons, but not always, and usually like to thoughtfully choose them before hand) I did add essential oils. I really have never felt pushed to add on here before. Additionally, the only way I could tell it was used was on a wash cloth placed over my eyes when I turned on my back. Had I known peppermint oil was on the cloth I would not allowed it on my eyes, which quickly were in pain and watering uncontrollably and I asked it to be removed, which was meet with what felt like attitude from the masseuse. Up front I was asked if I was ok because my eyes were leaking horribly and shared the experience and was told it happens more often than I would think. I think he meant well but felt he knew what I needed more than I knew what I wanted

I to confirm that I was coming for the appointment 3 times! One phone call and 2 texts. Very annoying. Once should be enough.

Since the original owner left there has been major changes in staff, prices, and clauses to the packages. I have been a member since 2010 and do not intend on staying. I have even noticed the shift from the focus of making people feel well to just a money mill for the new owner. It's quite sad, I know majority of the staff mean well. But it is hard to balance making others fell well WHILE pushing upgrades...like a sales person. If the focus of a spa is on "how much can we make," retention will be low of both customers and staff that care.
