I've been very pleased with my massages and massage therapists. Anne Marie is always "consistent" in the applied pressure and all key trigger point areas. She is always friendly and very welcoming! I have been getting massages for years and she is by far the best I've ever had. She is a great asset to Hand & Stone. I hope she stays with the company for a long time. To be honest, she and Judy is the reason I am still a member. :)

Usually with a membership if you get more than one massage in a month, the extras are cheaper. I feel the monthly price is reasonable at $59 but extra massages should be $39 or $49. That would make me more apt to get more than one a month. Or even work out a deal if the person books one a week to do a discount. Overall I was pleased and relaxed but one a month will not help my lower back pain. I’m waiting for the Happy Valley location in Phoenix to open, if it’s the same there then I will probably cancel my membership.

The massage felt a bit rushed, but this could have just been the therapist's technique (more rapid in movements).

I do not like the pressure of upselling during the facial...I felt like I was being tricked into agreeing to an extra service and fee...then when I said no the therapist tried pushing products- it made me very uncomfortable

It is just a little corporate, by nature. I would prefer a more private spa setting like at a resort but they don't usually offer a monthly service membership. Overall, I am happy but would prefer a more luxurious spa for massage therapy.

My facial was good, but I've had much better bu other therapists at H&S. She was extremely nice though.

It was just a miss for a couple reasons, not necessarily the fault of Hand & Stone. I booked a last minute appointment (which I normally do and why I really like your spa) and they couldn't accommodate my request for a 80 minute massage at the time frame I needed. I choose to take a 50 minute appointment with a therapist I haven't used in the past. I haven't had issues with the therapists before. The therapist was good and communicated well with me and was professional we just weren't a good fit for each other. It doesn't change how I view the spa but I will be more cautious about the therapists I book in the future.
