I'll start off by saying that the quality of the massage was great, I could tell the masseuse was very knowledgeable about her craft. While the massage was relaxing, the room was not. One downside of the room was it's size, it was quite small and felt a bit cramped. Additionally, the sound system it that room was essentially broken. What was supposed to be soothing music was mostly either silence, as the song skipped, or a staticky sound. That was my biggest issue, though it is one that could quickly be resolved.

The massage therapist was excellent and attentive to the area I pointed out. When she had asked how the pressure was, I said that she could "go a little harder" but didn't continue to ask her to apply an even firmer pressure because I was a little nervous she might overcompensate or apply too firm a pressure on more sensitive areas of my body.

Everything was great. I was probably more guarded than usual since it was my first time there.

I did not experience any problems but my massage specialist was new and it clearly showed. WE started 15 minutes late and ended 15 minutes early. The bed/table was also cold had to tell her to cut it on at least low. She transitioned from area to area but I do like the light touches to alert me of the transition. I felt secure doing the tuck in of the leg area. I've also never experienced a towel being placed on my back to start the service, usually just offered at the end.

Over the past year and a half I have found three therapists that I really like. As soon as I find one I like they end up leaving I have to find another that I like they end up leaving, etc. etc. Each time I have to try a new person it’s a crapshoot. I don’t want to waste my time getting massages from therapists that are not as qualified. After my most recent favorite therapist left I looked for an appointment and they were only a few therapists available, none that I knew. Very frustrating.

There was a lack of attention compared to prior years. No offer of water, tended to answer questions asked but not be forthcoming. Delay in start of facial - lost over 10 minutes of scheduled appointment.

This is a wonderful place. There was a fire emergency in the mall on the morning of the appointment. The alarm from the next door building kept ringing for the entire appointment. This was NOT Hand and Stone's fault but it did impact the level of relaxation. My aesthetician was really nice. It was her first day and she did a good job. There was not a lot of clarity regarding the Member Monday specials as outlined in an email sent on June 3. According to the email, there was supposed to be an eye and lip treatment with facials on Member Mondays on June 7 but I found out that was not the case. Perhaps the emails need to be revised without the Member Monday specials because I booked my appointment on Monday so that I could take advantage of the special. I love Hand and Stone. Keep up the good work.

My massage therapist was not as skilled as I’ve come to expect at Hand and Stone. She did not play any music nor lower the lights. Her routine was asymmetrical and lackluster. She did not concentrate where I asked. She seemed to do the bare minimum and wasted a fair amount of time. I did not get much out of it. I have always had good experiences at Hand and Stone. My last massage wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. I will not use that therapist again.

It was nice, a good massage but not amazing. I will most likely return. I like Hand and Stone. I feel welcomed and at ease. I would go more often if I could afford to do so. I really like that the staff doesn't pressure me to buy a membership, as other places do. I know that it's an option, and it's offered but not pushed. I would not return if that happened.
