Hand and Stone

The massage was supposed to last 50 minutes. It lasted 40 minutes. Also, this particular massage was underwhelming due to pressure applied (too light) and technique. I've had much better massages at Hand & Stone in the past.

The reason I discontinued membership was the turnover of therapists. Once a good one was found either they left, changed hours or so good it took a month to get an appointment. A new therapist was "pot luck" as continuity of the same person was important when working through body issues. The last massage therapist had good technic and touch. I just do not want start with another person only to leave. Everything else about the location is great. The people are friendly and offer good service.

The massage room, oils and her hands were cold - it was a v cold day out and even though the bed warmer was on I could never get really comfortable. Also, I felt like she moved around a lot instead of concentrating on an area and then moving on.

Great facial. Relaxing.

I like having essential oils with fresh scents during massage. Also, the room was pretty cold during my massage. That’s pretty much it though!

Overall it was wonderful. But if I had to recommend some improvements: the washcloths in the bathroom (for drying your hands) seemed old and dingy. And the paper cups used for complimentary water felt cheap. I realize it’s for free water :) but it didn’t add to that luxury spa feel.

I don’t like trying to be sold on a monthly subscription. I don’t like being up sold things I do not want. I just want a spa that I can schedule services at and not have to be a member or wait weeks for an appointment.

I think the online booking could be improved- I wish I could see the schedules farther out and to plan better, and to be able to add in brow waxing appointments, etc. as well. it pretty much always requires a call, or a lot of checking back for cancellations within the week-
