The massage was very nice but the lotion smelled odd. Even after I left, I still smelled bad and it didn’t go away until I showered. The lotion didn’t appear to be scented, it was just the natural scent of the lotion. Also, the place I normally go for massages puts a pillow under my head when I lie on my back and puts a slightly weighted fabric across my eyes to block light and help relax. I missed those touches.

Communication of appt time was not clear. I was left to sit naked under a robe in the waiting area for 30 minutes. It was cold

Though it happens everywhere and it really wasn't a big deal (and the therapist apologized profusely), my 2pm appt didn't start until about 2:12. Therapist had to the fan because he said the room was musty, but that made it too cold. Asked to turn it down, which he did, but still a bit too cold. Therapist gave me deep massage on back (and neck after I requested) but not on arms and legs.

I had high hopes that the pores and blackheads on my face would be gone, although I appreciated the time and attention devoted to them.

The receptionist intake was a but clunky due to what seemed like a shift change. My therapist was great and attentive to what I needed.

The bed was mildly warm and the Esthetician didn't place anything around my neck to support my head comfortably. During the massage part, she only stayed around my shoulders and throat area. I'm use to getting massaged around my shoulders and neck area including both arms and hands. Not sure if this is just something that Hand and Stone doesn't do but I really look forward to the massage part during my facial. Overall the Esthetician was very polite and helpful but just wished the massage was better.

The massage was satisfactory. But, a day later I am receiving a message via text telling me that I have another massage scheduled tomorrow. And, when I try to call to get it figured out no one is answering the phone.

I have been trying to get used to new massage therapists. I enjoyed Carl, my old therapist so much. It has been hard to adjust to someone else because he was so good and attentive. I would leave feeling ready to attack the week.

Masseuse could use some finesse.

The only thing missing is the ability to wait in a spa-like atmosphere. I like when I can arrive early at a spa, sit in a robe, and read a magazine while I have a cup of tea before my appointment.
