I originally booked a 50 minute massage, then called to add an extra 10 minutes to make it a 60 minute massage. I was advised to arrive 15 minutes early as a result. I arrived at 3:45pm, was checked in right away but sat until 4:05pm which is when the massage therapist came to get me. By the time I was escorted to the room, was given time to change, meant the message didn't start until close to 4:10 to 4:15pm and it finished at exactly 5pm. At check out I was charges an additional $16.00 for the extra 10 minutes. Not very good value for the money.

Other than appointment starting late I enjoyed my massage. However, to me, Hand and Stone does a good job of meeting the minimum requirements I would find acceptable in a massage location. It doesn't go above and beyond these however. In order for me to say I was "highly satisfied" there would have to something beyond the basic cleanliness / timeliness requirements (some special surprise and delight moments). However, my recent massage therapist, Jax, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and provided one of the best massages I've ever recieved so I would highly commend him!

Received an 80min massage that cost me $150 plus tip! It was way too expensive.

I have been to several spas in the GTA and I was greatly satisfied with the quality of the service I received (a rejeuvinating facial). The skin specialist was perfect in terms of friendly but professional - and that gave me the opportunity to relax and enjoy the procedure without feeling need to talk much. Honestly, I once had a massage at this location and the masseuse was just too chatty and I couldn't relax. I know it is different for everyone but friendly to put at ease but not to conversational makes a big difference. My skin looks great today. I didn't put highly satisfied just as the room for the treatment looked a little worse for wear compared to some of the other spa's I've been too. I noticed a ceiling tile was not in place and while my eyes were closed most of the time and it didn't impact the service it was noticeable it could use some tlc. Otherwise I really enjoyed my experience and will be back. The feedback is just because it was asked.

My area of concern was my neck and upper back area, so I told the therapist that. I was under the impression that he would concentrate not only on that but also the rest of my back/arms, but he only concentrated on my neck for the full 50 minutes, so I wasn't completely satisfied.

The massage and massage therapist were fantastic. It was my first time having a hot stone massage my it met all of my expectations. My biggest concern was how I was dealt with at the reception. I came on a cold day. I saw tea and water available and one customer drinking tea. I thought the tea and water were for customers however I wasn’t sure. Another customer walked in and right away she was offered tea or water. I felt minuscule and unappreciated as a customer. I will say that when I came out, the new receptionist did offer me a beverage which was really nice.

The appointment was on time, the therapist focused on problem areas and the business was clean and tidy.

Although my husband confirmed over the phone 2 times that i will be paying (he booked the appt), the receptionist was unaware. Also it took 2 refunds and 3 charges to get the amount for the payment right given I had some discounts applied on my profile due to a previous error at booking and the owner was kind enough to make up for that error by providing discounts. The massage was great but the whole payment situation and the previous booking errors were less than ideal.
