Hand and Stone

I was very satisfied with my Hand & Stone experience. My regular RMT however is on mat leave so I guess you could say that's why I didn't mark it as "highly satisfied".

Reception not very warm. Otherwise everything met my expectations but there were no "wow" moments that would inspire me to go out of my way to book again.

Really hard to get an appointment. Although I don’t mind tipping I hate that the staff has to rely to heavily on tips and seeing a sign at the desk suggesting a tip amount is in poor taste. It’s not a 5 star environment

I keep having to give my credit card number I do not like that as don't always pay with my credit card and it's not being debited monthly. They didn't have my info correct on file though I've been going to that location for almost 2 years. I would like more selection with the essential oils. Not all the RMTs seem to know/value the difference in massage types.

The overall experience was good. This is the second visit for boyfriend and I. The treatment rooms are a bit small. Most spas offer couple's treatment (Massage and facial) which what we are mainly interested in as we like to do things together. The receptionist was a bit confused and asked to fill the initial forms again.

Compared to other massage therapy clinics (specifically massage therapy, not a spa) I prefer the massage therapists there. I’m just more used to the techniques of the other place. It’s understandable given that hand and stone is a spa (with other services) not a massage clinic.

Very good quality for the price -- environment perhaps not as spa like as I had expected -- I rarely rate anything as "highly satisfied" so a rating from me of "satisfied is very good.

Highly satisfied is over the top with luxury services.

I was very pleased with the customer service-- everyone from the reception to the therapist were very friendly and helpful. I was not necessarily dissatisfied with the experience, but I believe that when a space is labelled a 'spa' there should be something more to the overall experience (e.g. more opportunity to lounge after the massage, a more relaxing environment, etc.). To be clear, I did not choose Hands and stone because it was labelled a spa, but following the experience I wondered why it is considered a spa. Though the overall service was exceptional and the experience positive, I am not sure what made the location a 'spa' versus a regular massage therapy establishment. Some things I really appreciated: the amount of time the massage therapist spent to determine exactly what my preferences were, and the excellent customer service when resolving the mix-up in the massage I had requested. (One suggestion for improvement would be the ability to book online, rather than just request the times online.)
