I was very satisfied with the overall experience. The specific area I wanted addressed during the overall massage was my wrists and forearms (gettting used to a new road bike). The RMT did my upper arms - which was great - but I expected her at some point to get to my forearms, wrists and possibly (hopefully) hands ... thought she was working up to that but the massage didn't get there. I'm thinking she may not have understood what forearms were - however I did show her the area and mentioned my wrists and area between my wrist and thumb. To be honest, I thought she got it, and thought that was going to be the area of her finish.

Cost for service was high.

My face felt a bit dry the next day after my facial and after paying extra for the hydration facial i had assumed that my face would not be dry. Before going to bed that evening I had put additional moisturizer on because it felt dry. However the facial itself was excellent and so was the esthetician, it may have been my misunderstanding that the facial would not make my face feel dry.

I wish there were more appointment times available. It's very difficult to get same day or next day appointments. You can also hear talking through the walls of the massage rooms.

I came out of the appointment feeling very relaxed. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was very good. I could have fallen asleep.

I could not select an exact time when I booked online. I had to wait until someone called me to book a time. When I arrived at Hand & Stone, my massage didn't start until 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment.

The Therapist was not very talkative upon meeting and not too friendly. He ask if I' d had a massage before. When I answered yes, he said ok, you know the drill. He ask if I wanted a relaxing massage and I answered yes. That was the extent of our conversation. I did request a hot stone massage, which I did not recceive. The pressure was very light and although I appreciate the msssage, I was not satisfied. But I left in better shape than I arrived, so I was happy for that.

Cost and not starting my appointment on time

My massage therapist, Ryan, was great! Honestly one of the best massages I've ever had at any spa. He was very polite and professional, applied the right amount of pressure based on what we discussed, and focused very well on the areas I mentioned were key for me, while still taking enough time to include a full body massage. I'll definitely be booking with Ryan again in the future. However, I'm on a short timeline to submit this insurance claim to my insurance provider and the receptionist filled in the price I paid incorrectly. For some reason, it's listed as $35 less than the price that should be on the receipt. I called today and confirmed the price that should have been entered vs. what was entered. I haven't received a new receipt yet, so the issue hasn't been resolved, but I hope it doesn't take too long, as I need to submit this claim tomorrow at the latest.
