Hand and Stone

The massage therapist did a weird thing with my fingers, making it sound like she was cracking my knuckles. I don't think she did, but it was weird and I didn't like it.

Visit was nice as the Rolling Meadows location was able to accommodate appointments in short notice. Had pain which was decreased after massage.

Massage ended 10 minutes early

Massage started late and wasn't a full hour. Receptionist kept trying to upset and wouldn't let us leave.

Prices were a little high for the services Add ons were ever more expensive Seemed like there wasn’t enough employees and I couldn’t get a facial appointment I wanted.

I felt the therapist didn't talk enough. She did ask if she was putting enough pressure, but it seemed like a check in the box that every therapist has to ask. I was hoping she would have talked through what she felt. It was quiet though and led to sort of awkwardness that I didn't really like. By the end of it, I felt she missed some areas and I wasn't completely satisfied. I really should have spoken up and said something, but it was my first massage and I didn't really know what was appropriate or the norm when it came to those things. I just felt it wasn't my responsibility to lead the conversation or control the environment. I was there to relax and go with the flow. I was definitely looking for more guidance and direction and what I was supposed to be saying. It was fine and she seemed nice, but I'm pretty sure we said a total of 3 things to eachother. Seemed way too forced of an encounter.

I am disappointed with the rising costs of a 50 minute massage on top of the high cost of all the enhancements. Additionally the appointment availability times seem pretty limited. I had to call 6 different locations prior to booking the last appointment.

I think a setting with less talking. A little more product. Some soothing music would help. The add ons are so expensive.

I’ve been a Hand & stone member for over a year, this massage did not work any tensing or muscle aches. I was not asked if the pressure was too little or not enough. I have a favorite therapist at another location that I typically compare to others.

Massages should be a complete 60 minutes The massage therapist kindly explained Hand&Stones policy but I don’t want to pay for the time to undress and re dress. The company should build that into its pricing. Felt slightly ripped off
