reserved vehicle over the phone for a specific type of vehicle and location. when I went pick up vehicle, initially they didn't show my reservation them they located it but were unable to provide me with the vehicle I had been promised. I had to wait close to 45 minutes for them to bring a alternate vehicle from another site.

I was recommended by State Farm insurance to go through Hertz for my rental car. When I arrived the man behind the counter did not seem to want to be there, nor did he seem to know what he was doing. He made me go back to my car to get my claim number, and when I came back he never asked for it, and ultimately never took the number down. The car seemed like it needed service. It constantly sounded like there was something dragging on the ground, the passenger speaker was blown and it overall was not a good vehicle. When I returned the vehicle, I dealt with the same man. Again his attitude was very poor, he did not explain how the charges were split up. Only asked me to pay the balance, stared at the receipt for at least a minute like it was a puzzle and then handed it to me and told me I was good to go. For being sent to Hertz by a major insurance agency, I was very dissatisfied with my experience. I felt like I was bothering them by renting a car, and did not feel like my business was wanted. I will not recommend Hertz to anyone else. And the next time I rent a vehicle I will use Enterprise, even if the cost is higher.
