Holiday Inn Express

We stayed at the Ascutney Holiday Inn express for a wedding. We checked in late, were put in the wrong building, and the staff was unable to communicate effectively. We were told during booking we could have a 1pm check out due to the wedding, and planned accordingly.. When we went to check in the girl said 10, and we reminded her of the late check out. She said she would look into it and make sure. Then when we got back at 12pm that next day, the room key wouldn't work due to the checkout being at 10. We found a maintenance guy who was able to let us in, but when we got in the phone rang. A rude worker on the phone reminded me that checkout was at 10 and we had to leave. I explained that we had an extended check out and she said "well, did the girl ever get back to you?" Uh.. No.. She was supposed to make sure it happened... And then she was extremely rude and said that we HAD to be out at 1 as new guests were coming and then hung up. I'm glad I received the call as the bridesmaid, because it would have really stressed out the bride on her big day. I plan to do a yelp review as well, because this is unacceptable in general but especially to a wedding party enjoying a nice weekend. Very sad.
