Oregon Zoo

We had a blast but it was a cold day.... Brrrrr... We would have stayed longer if there had been a warm place where we could buy some soup!

We went for Zoo Lights and got there early enough to see some of the exhibits. It was really fun and all of the animals were visible which usually doesn't happen at zoos.

First trip for Zoo Lights!! Incredible! A winter wonderland with dazzling lights everywhere! I was just as in awe as the grandkids were! Rode the Christmas train--very very long lines and wait for such a short 8 minute ride but we were glad we did it. At ticket taker entry there should have been info given regarding the train. Some patrons were in boarding line for half an hour before a staff member told them they needed to buy tickets first. Confusing. Patrons shouldn't need to ask other people in line what to do. Also some lights went off due to the wires being stepped on or dislodged by kids or parents. More observance of staff needed to keep things merry and bright!
