This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with anyone in the "customer service" industry. We have been lied to, treated poorly, and neglected. Glenda, the "Director of Sales" was a nightmare from day one. I assume because my fiancé and I are younger that she thought she would just push us aside, but we're both very bright business professionals, and we both run sales teams managing multimillion dollar territories. Communication was horrible. Response time was egregious. Customer service was even worse. At one point, after I left the GM, Tony Stagni, my second voicemail expressing dissatisfaction, (he never returned either phone call despite my request to do so)... I digress... After I left this voicemail, Glenda called me and after identifying herself actually said to me, "Are you okay now?" as if I were a toddler having a tantrum. I explained that if she had indeed done her job as previously agreed upon which had not been done, I was sure I was fine. My wedding is in two weeks, and once my party has left the Hampton, I will be ensuring that I have my experience well documented on Yelp, Travel Advisor, Foursquare, Google+, and anything else I can get my hands on or work my SEO knowledge on. This has been the ONLY thorn in my side in planning a destination wedding in New Smyrna Beach, and I fully intend on making sure any other bride trying to work with this staff is fully prepared for the nightmare that she is getting into.
