Room needed alot of repair!!!! Friendly staff

This was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. The room was paid for prior to our arrival. We called ahead because we knew we'd be getting in really late. We arrived at 2:30 AM on 11/26/15. I gave the front desk person, Heather, the name the room was under. A few moments later she advised that the card was declined. My friend, whose name the room was under, told her that the room had been paid for two weeks in advance. She offered to show the receipt, but Heather figured it out. Next a guest asked if she was able to smoke in her room. Heather informed her that her room was non-smoking but ask what room the lady was staying in. The guest advise she was staying in room 400 and something. Heather then said that she could smoke in that room since that was a smoking floor anyway. At breakfast later the morning we arrived we went to get breakfast. I go to get a cup of coffee from the regular coffee carafe. The carafe is out like it's full of coffee...but it's empty. I go to the front desk and ask them for coffee for the breakfast room they say that they've been out for two days. Why was the coffee carafe out if there was no coffee available? On Thanksgiving evening after spending time with my friends family we came back to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel Heather was outside, apparently on a smoke break, and asked if we needed to check in. She had just checked us in less than 24 hours earlier. We went upstairs to our room and there were no clean towels. I called the front desk to ask for some and I was told that there were no clean towels because no one had done laundry that day. Heather said she knew her she could get some clean towels from a vacant room and got us some, so that was nice. there's a lot of room for improvement and growth at this hotel. I was on the third floor but it smelled like smoke.

Reserved a nonsmoking room and got a supposed non smoking room yet it reeked of smoke. Told the checkin lady and was told that it was nonsmoking and all she could do is give me some spray and that's what I booked. The heck I did! I booked NON smoking and someone had clearly smoked in it.
