I attended a conference and needed to work but the staff wouldn't give me a wifi passcode. Had to leave and go to a nearby restaurant to use wifi. Poor decision on their part.

We took time out of our business to attend a meeting/trade show. We were done before our colleagues and had some very important orders come in. We went to the lobby to get online to place those orders. Front desk would not provide a wifi code. When asked he (Joe) told us to ask our even person. This is not an event we planned. We found a friend with a rewards # & her wifi was full. It was like the hotel held it hostage if we didn't pay for wifi. This was not our choice and I'm not paying for 30min of emergency use. We also asked for coffee. Our room had I water or coffee. We experienced no perks whatsoever for being there. We went driving around to find wifi. Eventually landed at a local restaurant. Not happy. (I was at a meeting at the same hotel 3 yrs ago and my wallet was stolen during a trade show)
