Holiday Inn Express

My stay at the holiday inn express was unexpected, but quite pleasant. I stayed there bc I could not get a room at any nearby marriott hotels, where I am a member. Most important to me is that the hotel is non-smoking, and the staff and management take that rule seriously, which I very much appreciate. The hotel was very clean, the room well stocked, and the staff very friendly and helpful. I recommend it highly, although it was about $30 more than I wished to spend. The only concern is that the local health department was inspecting the area where breakfast is served, and apparently the inspector expressed serious concerns to the front desk personnel and was told that no one "in charge" was available to speak with him. I would hope that this type of issue could be handled more professionally and efficiently in the future, as my checkout was detained for about fifteen minutes while the front desk staff person was intransigent AND I was witness to the whole conversation, which should have taken place behind closed doors.

They can clean more it wasn't as clean as it could have been and the tub continue to back up and we had to ask them to clean the room
