Ramada Tropics Resort / Conference Center Des Moines

During the reservation process they told me my pet was allowed with addition $10 fee, and the only place my pet couldn't be is in the pool area. The next morning a manager told me she was confined to our room for allergies to other people. I understand that. But maybe they should tell us that during reservations. Also in the pool area, those employees are to busy flirting with each other than their job.

Everything was good. Pizza a little undercooked

Nice pool area...even though hot tub was closed. Rooms were decent with updated bathrooms but very small overall. Lots of boxelder bugs inside! Dessert menu posted in lobby was wrong...no banana foster dessert or bread pudding. Online website said happy hour lasted till 7 when server in restaurant said ended at 6. No signs or menu said there was a breakfast buffet or breakfast at all...just noticed when checking out after we had went out for breakfast. Would have been nice to know that! Enjoyed the tiki bar and atmosphere. Overall great stay but a few issues that could easily be fixed to improve hotel.

Terrible service. Hot tub has been broken for a year and they didn't notify us of that. There were dogs walking around the inside. It also reeked of smoke.
