Red Roof Inn Cleveland - Westlake

We ended up w a handicap room for whatever reason which was fine. Very nice shower area there. The bed pillows were super hard though. And we couldn't park in front of our room when we returned after the event we had attended bc it was designated handicap. Ended up I had to get out of the car so my boyfriend could park up against a spot w a giant bush on the passenger side

Broken door handle

First came in and went back out to get luggage and door handle fell off. Immediately told man at front desk and he was totally unconcerned. He said he would tell maintenance, we stayed 2 days, it did not get fixed, the 2nd day it was laying in the floor after housekeeping left. The refrigerator was not working, we had to plug it in ourselves, the leg is broken and we had to jerry rig it ourselves to be able to use it. I told the front desk about that, they promised that would be repaired the 2nd day, but that never happened, it's horribly wobbly and almost falls out of the space when using it. The floor was absolutely NOT vacuumed when we checked in and was not vacuumed the night we stayed over. The bed was poorely made. I would not be surprised if the sheets were changed from the previous occupants. This is in the Cleveland area and cost $93 PLUS huge tax PER night for a Red Roof Inn, I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel with nicer amenities for the same price down the road. I will be in Toledo at a Red Roof the next 2 nights and it will be less for BOTH nights including than for 1 here. I know it was Friday and Saturday, but that's insane! Very, very, very unhappy with hotel and staff!
