Good hotel

The day time front desk staff were very rude upon our arrival. They badgered us and when we ask for an upgrade they were rude. We considered changing hotels but we are not familiar with the area and the hotels we did briefly research were sold out. The room (305) is not well designed. The standing lamp is missing a shade and leaning. The side table lamp shade edges is torn and drooping. They refuse to provide only 2 towels and wash cloth at a time, even when requested. Our room is right off a banister and there is a significant step down from the door to the walkway; my cousin tripped into the hallway and toward the banister, almost falling over from the 3rd floor. They need signage warning and reminding guest to watch their step. I must say the overnight staff were pleasant as they only said hello whenever we came in at night. I will not be staying at this Quality Inn off of Silver Lakes Blvd again. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either.
