My original experience with hand and stone was the Troy location. I really liked that location but I live across the street and I can do a massage on my lunch break.

I just would have liked a lot more pressure which I have experienced with other therapists and at other locations

I hate the high pressure hard sell tactics to try to get you to sign up for the membership. If I don’t sign up now, I’ll have to pay $100 for the ability to later? Yeah… I’m just going to go somewhere else next time. You should be happy people sign up when they do and toss in a freebie item, not threaten them with paying for the same thing later that they could get without an extra fee now.

It’s a nice place but not a luxury spa. I’m satisfied with the value. But I am getting a little frustrated with the turnover.

I tried a new treatment. It was something different but I prefer my usual treatment.

Would love for you to keep your therapists on staff - was sad to see Karon leave.

They used 10 minutes of my massage to get dressed. Then, I paid an additional 15 to do the scalp massage and that was done in the 50 minutes of my massage. I felt ripped ofjf.

The cost of the Himalayan Stone massage was more expensive than I thought it would be and didn’t seem worth the price

Everything is great and wonderful, but I think it can probably be made better - perhaps noise dampening in the rooms. I took some time to find typical pay rates for staff at Hand&Stone, I personally also believe that staff should be compensated even more by corporate - I'm more than happy to pay for services - but I also think that their worth should also not be majorly dependent on tips and how hard they convince customers to buy products.

My massage therapist was very kind and pleasant. She made me feel comfortable. I just felt like I got more of a rub and not a massage. That may have been my fault. I felt very little pressure or attention to areas I noted as needing attention.
