My last two repairs required rework. 1. I had the fuel pump replaced on my car. When I picked up my car, it was making a lot of noise. An exhaust clamp had been left off. Why did they think this was ok when they drove it out of the bay. 2. My SUV had a broken rear hatch latch. When I picked it up the rear defroster and rear window wiper did not work. The latch repair was not done correctly and had to be repaired. The defroster and wiper still do not work.

This location is just blocks from my home. I have used them multiple times with mixed results. I have been using the Big O store in Dublin the past 10 years because they are located near by work office. I tried to use the Danville store for a simple service today and it was VERY DISAPPOINTING. I have spent thousands of $$$$ at this location purchasing tires, rims, etc. In the past they have always swapped out my winter tire/rims for my summer tire/rims each season at no charge. Today I stopped by to ask if they would have time to swap them out while I waited. They said no problem. I went home an loaded the tires into my car and drove back. They provided me a no cost estimate and I sat down. 45 minutes later I noticed my car had not moved. Then the "manager" Jason M. came over to say they would be starting soon. He then told me there would be a $40 charge. I do not mind paying a fee if this something new....but please explain that to me the first two times we discuss the service. Also don't tell me you can do it right then, when you cannot start the work. Bottom line is that based on my frustration I left without the work being done. I drove the 14 miles to the Big O in Dublin, CA and they (as usual) were outstanding. They immediately did the work at no charge. I will not go back to the Danville store. Again the $40 charge was not the issue. It was the dismissive tone and way I was treated by the staff that was the issue.

I bought 2 new tires for my SUV (expensive Pirelli's - almost $300 each). Less than two weeks and 400 miles later one of the tires blew out. I went back to big O and the guy tells me he's going to "do me a favor" and sell me the tire warranty even though I didn't buy when I originally and now for $100+ I'll get a new tire. I said no way, obviously a manufacturers defect and I wanted a new tire. He said I would have to pay for the whole tire, installation, etc and then contact Pirelli to try and get a warranty claim - "so I really should buy yhe tire warranty..." I asked to talk to the manager who told me forget the tire warranty sales pitch, of course they'd replace the defective tire... but then he says I have to pay tax on the replacement tire and pay for mounting and balancing again ($80). Pretty terrible customer service and shady employees. I won't be going back!

I got my van aligned after doing substantial front end work, a arms upper and lower, new ball joints and all new steering components idler arm pitman arm, my alignment was Farley bad but everything was tight, I left out my cotter pins knowing the tech was going to have to make adjustments, they left my right tie rod loose and didn't install any cotter pins and my tie rod fell off on crow canyon creek road and I almost went down a 15 foot cliff at 45 miles an hour after hearing a large clunk, the bolt coming off and the front right tire went 90 degrees to my other 3 wheels and now it pulls to the right, obviously it was getting dragged for about a half a mile till I could pull over safely, called the office and let them know what happened and that I needed my car towed, and sense they were the ones to last touch 16 miles earlier, they should pay for my tow, they said they don't do that and they were swamped and I would need to get it towed to them on my own expense. I will never go back to them again.!!!! You shouldn't either... I almost died and they didn't give a shit... completely un apologetic... terrible place

My wife took her car in because the L R tire pressure had dropped quite a bit. Rather than check for a nail/screw you just filled it and told her to come back again if there was a problem. Pressure was down the next morning, she came back, and sure enough tire had a screw in it. Had to come back twice as a result. Certainly not your usual service.

Great service: Used them to fix a power steering problem. Got the car back fixed same day.

I felt like Ryan tricked me into getting 4 new tires instead of having me call warranty for existing tires. Not honest.
