Big O Tires

I went online and had an 8am appointment the next day. Never got a call to confirm the appointment. I called at 8:30am and told Kendal that I could come in at any time and got a 10:00 appointment. My car didn't get pulled into the bay until 10:45. Car was finished 2.5 hours in total time just for Tires and an alignment. I shouldn't have been told to come in and have to wait 45 minutes to get things started. This job should have taken an hour not 2.5 hours. Tires were in the store as well.

Tire was patched rather than plugged. This was new to me and I appreciated that it was considered a better repair.

After two tries within a week the alignment and balance is still off. I've had to foot the bill for toll road to test the terrible job done, Lyft fees to get to and from work, and stress from having my steering wheel shake. Not going back.

We have been taking our vehicles here for the past 15 years. Both of our vehicles have been "clunker" status towards the end . . . but the managers and mechanics never looked down on us or never treated us "less than". We are customers for life. We now own two very reliable vehicles but will take them only to this store location for our every need! The manager, Adam is a class act! He is always honest and concise with his findings and always provide options for repairs. I never feel like I'm being "up-sold". The mechanics are very knowledgeable, courteous and professional at all times. We are quite fond of one of their best mechanics, Shaun. I recommend Big O Tires to all of my friends and family-especially the Lake Forest location. We love these guys.

It took 2 and a half hours for an oil change and I had an appt. they called to tell me that my brake pads and rotors were horrible and needed to be replaced. Supposedly the pads were metal to metal. They wanted $300!! Kendall didn't even call me when my car was ready, he just said it would be done in an approximate time. When I got there a different guy told me that there was about 3mm left on my brake pads and I could easily go to LA And back on them. I bought brake pads from auto zone for $30 and my dad said they weren't even metal to metal, they were bad but they overexaggerated. I don't know what business they taking my tires off and knowing that happened. I only came in for an oil change and they rotated my tires without telling me they were going to do that. I get my tires rotated at America's Tires, not here. My initial oil change was at 3p but I was running late so I asked to be safe and say I would be there by 3:30. When I got there at 3:13, they gave my 3p appt to someon else! They said it would take an hour and a half so I said fine it'll be done by 4:45 at latest. I picked my car up at 5:30 and they parked my car by the car wash without even telling me.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. I brought my vehicle, which is a dually (4 rear tires), in to have the oil changed, tires rotated and the alignment done before moving to another state and I was on a very tight schedule, which I had made known. After picking it up and going home, I noticed that the tires had NOT been rotated. I called in and discussed with Adam - Manager (who looks like he is dipping/ chewing tobacco every time I've seen him over the years) about dropping it off again in the morning. I dropped it off at 7am and was told there would be no issue with getting it back by 11am. I called in at 10am to see where things were at and was told by Adam that they hadn't looked at it yet, but would be shortly. I again expressed my frustration and reiterated that I was on a tight schedule and they had already thrown a kink in it. Adam said he would call me back in a couple minutes with an ETA. I never got that call, so I called again at 1030 and spoke to Adam again, who said it would be done by 11am. I then walked approx. a mile and a half in the rain to get there, only to notice they had only swapped out the outer tires! I then went in to the office to grab my key and just move on, I didn't have time for more lies and half-a**ed work. I ended up arguing with Adam a bit over what rotating tires on a dually means/ is. He then follows me to my vehicle and is telling me along the way that he knows it was done properly and he had seen it without any of the tires on the rack. When I SHOW him why I believe that hadn't been done it properly, he AGREES. His resolution at the beginning was to express that he would be "talking to his guys to make sure it doesn't happen again". I told him again that I didn't have time to deal with this or for them to correct the mistake and that I was already behind schedule. After a couple of minutes of talking in circles, he offered to pay a company at where I was relocating to to rotate them (Adam - "which should only be like $35"). That's it. No offer to refund me a portion of or all my money. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience here.

I called in to enquire & buy a set of 4 tires & was asked to hold the line for a minute. Then I was on hold for 12 minutes so finally had to hang up. Guess you are overloaded with business & are not interested in selling any more. Good luck with your ridiculous customer service. The new I guess store manager was very rude. I have been a long time customer and was shocked at the level of service I received. The previous guys I believe Casey and Adam has great customer service this new guy is argumentative and does not listen to the customers needs. I ended up taking my vehicle to the dealership where I knew I would get better quality service. I will not be bringing my vehicles back to this location. Sad because it's so convenient and around the corner from my house.

Service was professional and efficient. Great deal given by Ken Schneider. I would definitely recommend this store for their exceptional service.

I never complain. But, when I do an online quote for tires, and then its 60 dollars more than quoted, that's bad business. I will tell everyone I can you guys ripped me off. Im sure u are used to this complaint.

I had a warranty claim on my tires with Michelin, Big O Tires was amazing and was able to get Michelin to pay an extra 10% for my new tires. They were the only place willing to help me with this claim and allow me to just pay my portion of the tires. It was a great experience and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs tires

One lousy manager can kill a 12-year relationship in 1 hour. Make that in less than an hour.... I spent over $500 on four tires only to have one tire blow out on the freeway within 24 hours. ... Thank God for AAA and a used tyre shop where I had to buy a used tyre in Riverside so I could get back to THE Lake Forest Big O shop I trust. Kendall, David, Connery, and Sean ALL have my dedicated affection...they have served your company well..so have Casey, Anthony and many others over the years..but the MESSAGE I got was "Big O Tires will not stand behind the "crappy tires" you bought BECAUSE YOU did NOT buy the insurance to go along with them", from your corporate manager. Your Man Steve is doing a great job at turning around the atmosphere in your store from a family tyre and car repair shop into place with NO regard for customer relations... "It is just business"... I had to buy another tire for $100 and that used spare for $55. You know...I did not like.his accusation that I may have hit something on the road,nor did I like him saying that he has seen this happen to people 5 minutes after they had left one of your stores...an excuse? A confidence builder? Or just affirmation that the product you are selling is so crappy- it requires insurance even if it fails within 24 hours. Note...if there was fault in how the tyres were mounted, or if the tyre was actually defective - I do not care... Stuff happens. it's Not the money. And I hope Big O Tires does well, for the sake of the people I have met who work there and need their jobs.... And yes I am pissed

I was very disappointed with the pricing for your services. I went in for a basic oil change and tire rotation. Your techs came back and found something wrong with my car (of course they did). They came back and said that my left rear shock was shot and that the right shock was leaking. I was quoted $138 to replace each shock. After reviewing with my husband my husband told me to not proceed with the service as this rate was way too high for the service that needed to take place. After I shared this feedback you came back with a lower price of $80 to replace each shock. While this price was better, I feel like this was price gouging and I was discriminated against due to me being female. As an employee of Panasonic, and the employee who has brought you continued business over the past 5 years, I cannot express my disappointment enough. I have personally invited you to our Company event over the past few years. You have gained additional business because of me and this is how you thank me for your business?! Needless to say I will have to reconsider my future relationship with you.

Matt the store manager was very honest, friendly, and accommodating. The tires weren't in right then, but he explained that they would be there in an hour, and the truth of the quality. I so appreciated his honesty and the fact that he wasn't trying to take advantage of women, my daughter had to pick up the car and also spoke of how she liked and trusted Matt. Something that's hard to find now a days. Good job! Well done Matt and Good Year mechanics.

I have nothing but good things to say about this shop. From the first time I brought a car here, Matt has been nothing but exceptional in his expertise, advice, and old school hard work under the hood so that my cars could be in the best shape possible. The only minor recommendation I'd give is to watch touching the cars with dirty hands a bit more, as I've picked up my cars with smudges here and there which are hard to take off. But beside this, I truly love this shop and don't plan on going anywhere else. Thanks for all your help time and time again Matt!
