I made an appointment at 11am for an oil change. I arrived at 10:58am and they took my info and keys and said it would be about 30-40 minutes. I asked about a place to get lunch and walked across the street for pizza. I returned at 11:55 and thought it odd that my car was parked in the same space as when I left. The employee was about to ring me up and was looking high and low for my keys/paperwork when he finally checked in the 'back.' He came to me and said, "I'm sorry, but they haven't gotten to your car yet," and mentioned something about the guy who took my information had 'left for the day.' Not sure how this was my problem Wow....why did I take the trouble to make an appointment and specifically ask if an oil change could be done in an hour so I could get back to my job? After calling work to say I was going to be late, I had to ask how much they were going to take off the bill. The employee told me the 'most he was authorized' to take off was $10. I lost more than that in wages for the extra 50 minutes I spent sitting and waiting. And rather than the staffer offering to make things right, I HAD to be the one to suggest knocking something off the bill. I think at least 50% ($17) would have been more like it. Also, the mileage sticker for the next oil change was nowhere near correct. Makes me wonder about the quality of the rest of the service.

I asked to perform the AC inspection and was told that condenser is going bad and need replacement. both condenser and freon recharge is needed and quoted $650. I never felt that my AC is not working. So, I went to a local mechanic and found out that condenser is working fine and does not need anything now. Just because you are performing a free inspection, you should not make business on something that is not gone bad. I will never come to Big o tires in my life. I hope you change the way you do business. thank you.

I went to my appointment to fix a slow leak in left front tire. The person up front got me and said they could find nothing wrong with my tire, but doesn't matter cause I need 4 new tires anyways, and put a quote for that in my face. I told him thats ridiculous cause the tires are only 9 months old and were bought and installed here at Big O. He said the tires that were on my car should never have been put on my vehicle, and I thought that was funny, because BIG O recommended them to me when I had explained my situation 9 months ago. Then I went to Lincoln 1 week later and they easily found a nail in my tire, removed it, and patched it!!! I called Big to speak with the owner and the gentleman who answered the phone said I would be getting a call regarding this issue....never did, and have tried for 3 weeks, and sent 2 emails.....I am so pissed off, don't like getting scammed, and thats exactly what happened!!!

I gave my rating a couple days ago and didn't provide any info. Wanted an I expensive tire for a almost bald tire. Major sales effort to get me to buy 3 tires, all expensive ones. When asked to just quote me one, came back with a $130 tire. Plus didnt have any 225/50 R17 in stock. Could understand if expensive one was only one in stock. Went to Discount Tire and got what I wanted, $70 tire with no sales pressure.

Came here to fix a flat tire. They did an excellent job for an affordable price. Found out they offer many of the same services my Toyota dealer offers and they're only a couple blocks away from where I work. Definitely giving them a try on those other services!!

Joe, I was disappointed the way your new people here in Carmel treated me. The hustled me to purchase something I do not need and almost no one buys, raised prices over 50%, then dropped it down some after I questioned it. They offered to do it "while I waited" then took three hours to finish it. Then, just to make sure I remembered this disappointing adventure with you, they failed to set the computer to show the services had been done and when I would need another reminder. I had to return and wait while they did this.. I have been a happy satisfied customer of yours for over 15 years. I planned to buy tires from you when I need them. I got in a small accident the previous Friday, which ended up throwing off the alignment to my tires a lot (think holding the wheel at the 3o'clock position to go straight). Also my muffler needed replacing from general rust. I was recommended big o from someone I knew, and decided that even though it's a bit of a hike, I would use them. Dropped my truck off in the morning and asked them to call me with an quote before beginning the work, just to make sure I could cover it. I got a call the same morning and was told it would be 525.63 for the muffler system and they would do the alignment for free. That sounded pretty good to me. When asked how long it would take, the man on the phone said that the parts would be in the same day (tuesday), and the repairs would be done, and I quote "by the end of the day Tuesday, or Wednesday at the latest". I could live with taking ubers for my jobs for a day and a half at most and I wouldn't cut too deeply into my pocket. Wednesday evening comes and I head to my second job just down the street, where I had planned to pick up my truck after work. One of the guys was leaving just as I clocked in, so I asked if he could take my card over and pay them and snag my key if they were done. When he came back, I looked at my receipt and saw it said 583.76. Now it might just be me, but I'm 100% sure that wasn't the price I was quoted. It's not a huge difference, but it was definitely more than expected, especially when it's Christmas time and I still have gifts to get. Then I was also told that my truck wasn't even in the bay yet and they hadn't done the work. So I call them and ask what the deal is, both with the extra money charged and why it wasn't even started yet, especially because they said it would be done at the latest that night. The same guy told me that they needed to get some clamps and whatnot and that tax wasn't added to the quote. Now usually when I have dealt with mechanics shops in the past, the quote is the price you pay, tax, parts and labor included. I was a little cross at this point, and asked why it wasn't done, and when it would be. The guy gave me a bit of a run around, then said they were busy and left it at that. Thursday evening comes and I head out topick up my truck. I've probably paid around 75$ in extra cab fare for getting to and from both of my jobs for an extra day. I get to the shop, pick up my truck and am just glad to have it back. I start driving down the road and smell this burnt plastic smell inside the cab, and more importantly notice my alignment was now screwed up the exact opposite direction, with me having to hold the wheel in the 10o'clock position to go straight. I drive back and ask Jason, the front counter guy who all these google reviews seem to rave about, why the alignment was fixed so much that I have to hold the wheel to the left in order to drive. He told me that he's sorry but there isn't anything he can do right now, but if I leave it there they should have it fixed by Friday. I told him that's ridiculous, you already promised me it would be fixed at the latest yesterday, and now I have to wait another day? He said they were very busy and they don't make promises over the phone on when the work will be done. In my book, saying something will be done by this time AT THE LATEST, sounds an awful lot like giving your word that it will be done by that time. He then went on to say that I could even bring it back Monday and the alignment would be fixed for free. I told him that I cant afford to keep using uber or lyft to get around for another day when both of my jobs cost about 15$ one way to get to. He said that it was the only thing he could do. I was already flustered about the whole situation, so I just took my truck and will just go to a different shop after the holidays. It's worth it I'm order to not deal with them again. Let it be known, that the exhaust work they did was good, but the customer service, upcharging without even a call, and not

Joe's got me in the very day my car started having issues. They were able to complete the repairs and have my car back to me within 24hrs. Highly recommend!

Wanted two inexpensive tires and an oil change. Instead of calling me and asking about the locking lug bolts (I was across the street having lunch), they sheared off two of the bolts! A TIRE store not able to have the proper tools?(I found the key in the tire change kit in 30 sec.) I should have known to check everything when I had to get the guy to put a valve cap on one of the new tires, but the work was an hour later than their quote and I was in a hurry to get out of there. After the oil change and "fluid check", my transmission started to slip, and after getting the car checked out at a reputable shop, the transmission fluid was found to be almost empty. Coincidence? Returning to the store some time after, I was told the boss was gone. Gave the guy behind the desk my name and number and email and expressed my dissatisfaction. Never got a response. Never again. Telling everyone I know.

I needed a flat tire replaced. Kenny, the manager, and Garrett were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Got the tire replaced in about 15 minutes. I will definitely come back!
