Big O Tires

I usually like this place and have a decent experience. But this time was pretty bad. I had a confirmed appointment at 4:45pm and was informed it would take about an hour to complete an oil change. I left and came back around 5:50pm. They informed me again it'd be done by 6:00pm. My car was not done until 6:15pm. As they were pulling my vehicle to the lot, the mechanic driving it began honking back and forth with a different employee in the parking lot as I watched. I was pretty upset by this. I had an approved appointment and arrived on time yet I was there after closing time and was misquoted twice on when it would be done. And then the employees proceed to joke around with my vehicle. The staff may have been very busy that day, but whatever the case, customer service was not a priority for them at that time.

In a nut shell: It took 6 hours to fix a flat tire. That I brought in. They didn't have to remove it from the car or put it back on. And when I got up the next morning WELL it was flat again! So I'm guessing they really didn't fix it at all!!!

Worst customer service ever received at a tire store. No management on site to rectify problems. Will never visit store again and will advise family and friends to do business elsewhere!

Not sure if 5 or 1 is outstanding. I selected 5 hoping that is outstanding. Very impressed with the service friendliness and how quick it was done. I will highly recommend this place!!

I took my car in for an overall check, alignment and oil change. They suggested I get the belts replaced immediately, so I did. The engine now has a oil leak that is causing noises that wasn't happening before, and when I tried to have them see what the problem was, they quoted me for 1400 dollars of maintenance. It wasn't an issue before I had them change the belts. On another of my family's vehicles, we took it in for a oil change and tire rotation, and now it's making noises in the engine that it wasn't making before.

Excellent service could watch while work was being done

I had scheduled a full body inspection on a vehicle I was highly interested in buying for a Friday morning at 10. I arrived early and checked in at the counter. I signed a paper and gave them the keys. The person at the counter came to me a while later telling me I'd have to wait a while because all the lifts we in use, but he didn't know how long it would take.They finally took the car to get inspected around 11:20 (an hour and a half later) and they finished around noon. The person at the front counter only apologized as I was leaving. The wait was extremely too long for every person that came in that day. I will honestly never come back. It was my first time coming to Big O Tires and it was beyond terrible.

Great experience every time

I setup my appointment online and it was accepted. I had set my appointment up for 2 pm. When I got to the store at 2 I first was told that I didnt have an appointment. Then was told the tires that I wanted were not there and I would have to get something different. Then someone else came by and said oh, I ordered those tires but they wont be here till 3 pm. The Price I was quoted online and had a copy of in email was not the price the store was telling me. I told the store I wasnt happy about the additional fees, But I had to have tires so they started work. It took William over 2 HOURS to replace 4 tires.. That is ridiculous. Then I still had to wait on the alignment. Which they did after I complained how long it was taking did switch to a different tech. Then the first computer crashed, so they had to move my truck to a second rack and computer and the tech said the printer wasnt working but I do not believe this. When I went to pay the lady working the desk apologized but didnt offer any compensation when I pressed for something she gave me $50 off. That was just about as bad of a slap in the face as how long it took. I spent over 1100.00 and they gave me $50 off are you kidding me. Then to top it all off the guy that was trying to do the alignment when he brought my truck out hit the damn curb with my brand new tires.. Then one of them got grease on my tan floor mats.

Every time I come into Big-O, I feel welcome and comfortable! I was in and out of the shop in under an hour.

I made an appointment to have four tires balanced. I made my appointment for 12:15 and I didn't leave there until 2:15. There is no reason it should take two hours to balance 4 tires. I counted 6+ people walking here and there in a garage that was not full.

Pleasantly greeted. At the time, only needed a tire repair. Was able to leave the vehicle but they had it done within a couple of ours. Gave great info and quotes on required maintenance- may go back instead of using my normal dealer when the time comes. Good experience

There was a rattling sound that occurred when I'd travel at 30 mph or higher that wasn't there before I took it in for an oil change. turns out that a metal plate was not secured. The worker was not helpful in trying to resolve the error that they had made

The workers were all professiomal

I have a 5 year alignment policy. Had alignment done. Steering wheel set at 1 O'clock. Was told I would wait 2 more hours to have it fixed. Said I would just leave it but would need a ride home. That was denied. Asked for a refund and was denied. Have to bring car back to fix it. Another waiting session.

Much better service than the other Big O store I've been going to in Independence

Nobody greets you even when you walk in the door, then you stand there forever for someone to even come out to the showroom and acknowledge you are there. Then you NEVER get a phone call to tell you what wrong with the tire so you think tire is fixed when you go to get it. Tire had to be ordered (not repairable) and then they never call to let you know tire has arrived.

The tech went the extra mile in checking for other problems and prevented a future issue in doing so.
