It was scold and quit day at the zoo. I just wish there would have been a nice warm place to have some soup! All of the indoor restaurants were closed.

I love the Oregon zoo! It's awesome! I went to zoo lights tonight and had a little trouble getting there. We were worried we wouldn't be able to use our pre bought tickets but the staff made it right and got us right in!

Our first time for Zoo LIGHTS! Free school bus shuttle to zoo entrance from overflow parking area. As we approached the zoo, the splendor of the lights shown in our eyes. The amount of effort that went into this must've been incredible. As an adult I was astounded. The kids were as giddy as I was. We rode the train which was all lit up. It was a very very long wait for a short 8 minute ride but the kids handled it well. Wish the ride was longer and we knew ahead of time we needed to buy tickets. We did enjoy the ride especially thru the light tunnel. Need more lights along the tracks tho. A little sparse in places. Elsewhere so many dazzling light displays it was wonderland! Vendors sold some very cool led light wands, headbands and necklaces. Fair prices. We definitely will go back. I was truly impressed and we all had a great time.
